Time of your life....with the love of your life!

Thaaaaat's right!  I ammm having the time of my life with the love of my life! LOL! How could life be any better?!?!?  We have been so blessed with this opportunity to experience life abroad...and truly experience a different culture.

Sooooo, today we went to the wine shop "Okhuysen" since we've run low on supplies!  We ended up with:

We haven't seen annnny California wines since we got to Europe...soooo we're starting to learn more about European wines and we've found some we really like.

Earlier Andrew and I were talking about how different it is living in such close quarters with so many people. It's, so far, been a great experience....however, we're having to make some adjustments.

The other day one of our neighbors asked me if we we're letting our cat outdoors. I was curious as to why she'd asked that......she said they could smell urine in their garden. I told her our cat has been indoors since we moved him here....but I've heard a couple of cats fighting during the evening hours recently.  Now, I'm paranoid about letting Sammy out to "go potty" in the yard. From what I've heard, most people here walk their dogs 3-4 times a day and don't let them go potty in the yard. We take Sammy for a walk usually only once a day.......is that "wrong"?!?!  Are we Netherlands misfits?!?!?

The other day I found something that was kind of a blast from the past......Gherkins!  Yummy!  My grandmother used to have always have them and serve them with meals....The ones I found at Mabrouk (the Turkish grocer in town) taste just like the ones Grandma always had!

The other day while I was out in the garden I noticed that there is something growing where we're trying to grow grass.....It grows very close to the ground and is taking over.....I don't know if it's a weed....if it'll die off eventually or what. But, right now we're just kind of thankful that it's green and it keeps the dog from getting all muddy when he's out in the yard!

Twinkle Twinkle Little Star

As long as I live, I will never feel the same way about that song again.....Yesterday, Andrew and I went to a funeral for a 4 month old baby. At the memorial they had all the children go up to the front and a guitarist sang "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star".  Very heart wrenching and heart warming to quote one of his "Opa's" (grandfather).

I found these pictures on the internet of the Westerveld Crematorium in Driehuis.

I have been having a lot of difficulty sleeping lately because as soon as I close my eyes I have this horrible sensation of falling (like off a cliff falling!). It started about a month ago.......Yesterday Andrew made the observation that maybe my dizziness and sense of falling has gotten worse again because I've started doing yoga again.  So, I'm not sure if I should stop yoga to mayyyybe make my head stop spinning (and then my body hurts again...) or continue the yoga and hope it goes away over time!?!?!
