We returned to The Netherlands on 14 September.
The following day the Bloementapijt was taking place in Haarlem. What a beautiful display of thousands of begonias in the Grote Markt!
The flowers were arranged to represent this famous painting by the Dutch artist Frans Hals:
After admiring the flowers we decided to get a bite to eat....
While sitting there we noticed that the Stadhuis (City Hall) building was open to the public! Soooooo....we went on in! What a beautiful building!

That evening we planned to have a few people over just to say "hi" and enjoy some wine together. It was my parents' last evening in Haarlem before flying back to the States.......Bruce and Linda, Hans and Angela came by. It was so nice to see them!
Sad to see them go........
