2nd day of vacation...Sunday, March 31st

Sunday morning we continued into Luxembourg, Luxembourg. We took a little side trip into Germany via Trier along the Moselle River to a town called Piesport.

 The entire area is full of fields of grapevines!  We drove down into Piesport...but, because it was Sunday, everything was closed.

So, we continued on to our final destination, Luxembourg, Luxembourg. Our first stop was the hotel: The Sofitel Luxembourg City. We had a beautiful room and the service was great!

We decided to walk into town......this is some unusual "graffiti" we saw on the way!

It was a longer walk than we thought it would be, so we decided to purchase tickets for the "hop on hop off" so we could see the city with a narrative. 

Our first stop was at the "Golden Lady":

We continued walking and went into the cathedral, parts of which date back to 963:

We took the hop on hop off bus back as close to the hotel as we could get, right near the Modern Art Gallery. We walked around a bit and made a discovery of old architecture mixed beautifully with the new!
