It's been warm!

For the past couple of weeks we have had warm weather!  It was nice to wear shorts and sandals.  Today it is starting to cool off and looks like rain is headed our way. I've been making iced tea and really get some good use out of our "Target" ice cube trays!!!

Last weekend we walked around Haarlem, along the Spaarne River....we live in such a beautiful place!

 The "paint roller" draw bridge!

All the trees that were along the canal have been removed...we don't know why......

These buildings will be converted into some nice new homes!

We stopped for a beer....our view:

The next day went for a walk in the woods with Sammy:

Because of the heat and dry weather some of the plants in the woods are suffering:

Yesterday around 17.00 Bruce and Linda came by and invited me out for a beer. We went over to the Parck Restaurant and sat outside. Verrrrr nice!!!

This morning there was a bird in our tree in the back yard picking at the berries. He was so heavy I thought the limb was going to snap!!! When he heard me he flew over to the rooftop to keep an eye on me!!
